Advancing Mitochondrial Science
The framework behind Mitome is built on a rigorous analysis of peer-reviewed scientific literature. While the specific interpretive model we use is proprietary and original, and also based on in-house analysis of the underlying test cross-referenced with comprehensive genomic and biochemical data, it is fundamentally grounded in decades of research on mitochondrial bioenergetics, nutrient biochemistry, and cellular metabolism.
What you’ll find below is not a list of studies conducted directly by our team, but rather the foundational research that informed the development of our methodology. We’ve taken what was once a test used almost exclusively for rare disease diagnosis and re-engineered its application to make it actionable for anyone seeking to optimize health, performance, and longevity at the cellular level.
This page is designed for transparency and scientific accountability—to show how we've built on the existing body of evidence to bring mitochondrial analysis into a new era of practical, personalized health optimization.
